Every company must file a confirmation statement with Companies House at least once a year to confirm its details are up to date — even if nothing has changed. Missing it is a criminal offence and can lead to the company being struck off.
Changes such as new directors, a change of registered office, or share issues and transfers must be notified to Companies House within set time limits, and reflected in the company’s statutory registers.
